Cliff Top Restaurant, Bournemouth

Whilst I was in Bournemouth last week, we ate at a fantastic restaurant – Cliff Top Restaurant.

I always try to eat at independent restaurants like Cliff Top and this one was just around the corner from the Hilton Bournemouth, where we were staying. From the outside, the restaurant doesn’t necessarily look much but inside you’ll find friendly and attentive staff, a relaxed environment and a choice of mouth-watering dishes.

I went for the belly of pork, served with a delicious black pudding mash, roasted carrots, and crispy kale – finished with a cider sauce. It was so good! I’m not usually much of a dessert person but couldn’t resist the waffles and ice cream on the specials board – just divine. George was equally impressed with his rump of salt marsh lamb and Eton mess with a twist.IMG_4814 copy
As well as tasting and looking amazing, the food is sourced as locally possible and all at really reasonable prices. Fine dining without the stuffiness – just how I like it!
